What is Fasting ?

Fasting is going without food and drink for a period of time. 

Why Fast ?

Fasting in my opinion relieves overall stress on the body. But people fast for various reasons such as religious, weight loss and or detox their bodies. 

Why I Fast....

     Fasting increases my energy and calms my stomach and increases my mental focus. The only thing I consume first thing in the morning is Bulletproof coffee and 1 bottled water. I feel that sleep gives my digestive system optimal time to process my daily food intake. Kind of cringe worthy but here goes, the first thing in the morning, my bowels usually empty. And after I drink my Bulletproof coffee and my water, my bowels empty again. When my gut is empty, I feel light and ready to go. I love exercising on an empty stomach. Surprisedly, I feel like I have super strength, amazing endurance and laser focus when I don’t have food in my stomach. Occasionally, I fast three or four consecutive days. Once upon time, I fasted 30 days on lemon water. After I quit taking opioids, I fasted 40 days with lemon water and kale juice to detox. I lost 30 pounds both times but I neglected to change my eating habits so I gained all the weight back. Under the directions of my doctor, I had to fast 12 hours for lab testing and a colonoscopy. I am not a doctor or a nutritionist but I feel like an expert on what works for my body. I know how my body feels first thing in the morning before eating or drinking anything. Instead of becoming energized by eating breakfast in the morning, I feel sluggish and ready to go back to bed after eating anything solid for breakfast. My diet lifestyle is centered on fasting, Bulletproof coffee, constant water hydration , various supplements and high protein meals.
